Four founders. Four cities. One love for tea.

A letter from Abhishek, Udhav, Kalika and Aditi.

It started over a cup of chai

Tea-riffic began with a simple question: what is something all four of us genuinely love?

We are Abhishek, Udhav, Kalika and Aditi, four people from different cities and backgrounds who met at Mesa School of Business. As we got to know one another, we discovered a shared love for tea. One conversation led to another, and before long we were imagining what it would be like to build something around it.

We weren’t just looking to start a business. We wanted to create something we could genuinely connect with: a brand that brought together our love for tea and our desire to offer a more premium tea-drinking experience.

And just like that, over a cup of chai, Tea-riffic was born.

Why tea?

For us, tea has always been about more than what’s in the cup. It’s about conversations with friends and family, the comfort of a familiar ritual, and the little moments in the day that give us a chance to slow down.

There’s something special about preparing tea: steeping the leaves, waiting for the flavours to infuse, and letting the aroma fill the room before that first sip. Whether it’s a quiet morning at your desk or a peaceful evening after a long day, tea has a way of making an ordinary moment feel a little more meaningful.

When we started exploring business ideas, we wanted to build around something we truly cared about, and tea felt like the natural choice. We saw an opportunity to bring our own perspective to something that is already part of so many people’s lives, and to give that daily ritual the attention it deserves through thoughtfully chosen flavours, quality tea and premium packaging.

That was the idea behind Tea-riffic: making a cup of tea feel like a little experience of its own.

Four different backgrounds. One shared vision.

We come from four different cities, have different interests, and bring different strengths to the table. Those differences are a big part of how we build Tea-riffic.

Each of us brings something different. Together, we combine creative thinking, operational discipline, customer understanding and an entrepreneurial drive to build a brand we believe in.

Different cities, different perspectives, one cup

Coming from Noida, Surat, Pune and Lucknow means we don’t always approach things the same way, and that diversity often becomes one of our biggest strengths.

Our tea-tasting sessions have led to some interesting discussions about flavours, preferences and what makes a cup truly enjoyable. We challenge one another’s opinions, discover what we agree on, and learn to appreciate what makes each perspective different. Those different backgrounds also shape how we think about everything from product choices and packaging to how we talk to the people who drink our tea.

We hope you experience a little of that same discovery when you try our teas: finding a flavour you love, sharing a cup with someone, or starting a conversation of your own.

A little something for every tea lover

Our first collection brings together flavours that reflect different tastes and traditions. From Masala Tea, with its familiar blend of spices, and Elaichi Tea, with its distinctive cardamom aroma, to Kashmiri Kahwa and Rose Tea, each blend brings something different.

We wanted to offer tea lovers more than the same everyday cup: flavours to explore, favourites to return to, and something special to look forward to when it’s time to make tea.

Quality is central to that. So is the experience around it. We pay attention to our blends and to the packaging they come in, because we believe the little details matter, from the first look at the pack to the moment you brew your tea. For us, premium isn’t just about how something looks. It’s about the care that goes into the whole experience.

The reality of building Tea-riffic

Starting a business has been hectic. There are products to develop, operations to manage, packaging to think through, customers to serve, and countless decisions to make along the way. Not every day is easy, and there is always something new to learn, but the rewarding moments make the journey worthwhile.

One of our favourite parts has been hearing directly from customers. Their feedback helps us understand what we’re doing well and where we can improve. Some reactions have been especially memorable, like the aunties who love our tea so much that they jokingly complain about getting addicted to it!

Those moments make us smile, and they remind us why we started. Knowing our teas are becoming part of people’s routines means a lot to us. The journey has also brought the four of us closer as friends: what began as a shared interest has grown into something we work on, learn from and hope to build together for years to come.

Our vision for the future

We want Tea-riffic to become a household name over the next ten years: a brand people recognise, trust and turn to when they want a memorable tea experience.

We know that building something meaningful takes time. It means listening to customers, learning from feedback, improving our products, and continuing to bring fresh ideas to a category we all care about. As we grow, our aim stays the same: to offer tea lovers a premium experience that feels special, without losing the comfort and familiarity that make tea such an important part of everyday life.

Because at the end of the day, we started Tea-riffic for a simple reason. We love tea, and we wanted to share that love with others.
